The 1st Técnico Innovation Summit took place in November 04-05, 2024, and showcased, along with the organization of the 10th PhD Open Days, the participation of the Técnico scientific community in 21 large-scale Mobilizing Agendas currently funded by the EU in the framework of Recovery and Resilience Plan. The Blue Bioeconomy Pact, a consortium of 83 partner institutions led by Inovamar, S.A. with the overarching goal to decarbonize the Portuguese economy through the development of the blue bioeconomy sector, marked its presence in the event. The activities of Técnico/iBB Researchers across the work packages Biomaterials, Food, Algae and Portuguese Blue Biobank were presented in an interactive stand during the event and through posters communicated by PhD students Matilde Marques, Joana Couceiro, João Almeida, Ana Fernandes, Marco Teles, and António Mariquito at the PhD Open Days. The Instituto Superior Técnico tasks in the Blue Bioeconomy Pact are coordinated by iBB researcher Prof. Rodrigo Costa and counts on expert research coordination by Prof. Ana Clara Marques (CERENA, WP Food), Prof. Isabel Sá-Correia (iBB, WPs Algae and Blue Biobank), Prof. Rodrigo Costa (iBB, WPs Algae, Blue Biobank, and Biomaterials), Dr. Teresa Cesário (iBB, WP Biomaterials), and Dr. Tina Keller-Costa (iBB, WPs Algae and Blue Biobank).
