Title
Optimization of stimuli in bi-tissue scaffolds: from mathematical and computational modeling to experimental validation
Summary
The goal of OptiBioScaffold, a join project between CDRSP/IPLeiria and iBB/IST-ID, is to follow a combined modelling-experimental system for inform on optimal electric and mechanic stimuli conditions to promote viable tissue for implantation in osteochondral/cartilage defects. This project includes the development of a digital twin finite element-based system, construction of the new in vitro bi-tissue apparatus (bioreactor+bi-tissue scaffold) using 3D additive manufacturing tecniques and validation of the digital twin and the physical apparatus through in vitro cell studies.
