Carolina A. Vares is a PhD student in iBB in association with UCIBIO-FCTUNL and Datahow. With a Master in Biotechnology from Instituto Superior Técnico (2024), during her master thesis, Carolina adventured throught the world of machine learning hoping to modernize the fermentation industry. Now, in her PhD, Carolina figths to build a digital twin able to monitor and optimize fermentations in bioreactors.
