Short Bio:
Pedro Gonçalves is a PhD student in Biotechnology and Biosciences at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). Holding an MSc in Biomedical Engineering and a BSc in Biological Engineering at IST, he is dedicated to the development of innovative targeted cancer therapies. Currently, he is combining extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) and tumor targeting peptides to create drug delivery systems. Pedro is also investigating scalable strategies to produce therapeutically enhanced EVs.
