Short Bio:
Mafalda Vicente is a PhD candidate in Bioengineering and Biosciences at Instituto Superior Técnico. She holds a BSc (2022) and a MSc (2024) in Biological Engineering from IST. Currently, her research focuses on the development of a hiPSC-derived placenta-heart microfluidic model to enable the discovery and testing of potential prenatal therapies for Congenital Heart Disease.
