iBB Group: scerg
Expertise: Cell Biology; Optimization; Translation; Hematopoietic Expansion; Bone Marrow Niche
Short Bio:
With a strong foundation in Biological Engineering (Integrated Master's Course - Instituto Superior Técnico, 2016) followed by a specialization in Bioengineering (PhD - Instituto Superior Técnico, 2023), André has aimed at uncovering opportunities to improve the production of cell therapies, focused on facilitating product translation and ensuring their viability after regulatory approval. By implementing Quality by Design principles, André has sought to bridge fundamental research and development with product manufacturing.
Research Focus:
Development and optimization of production processes for cell therapies, with particular focus on hematopoietic-derived products.
