We conduct groundbreaking research, doctoral training, and knowledge transfer to drive progress in Health and Bioeconomy.
Our mission, values & history
Our mission is to unravel the intricacies of living systems and apply engineering principles to address critical challenges in Health and Bioeconomy, and educate younger scientists and bioengineers to drive Europe’s prosperity.
Our values are a commitment to integrity and ethical conduct, excellence in R&D, impact and knowledge sharing.
Since our founding in 2013, we have leveraged interdisciplinary collaboration to advance R&D and education across biology, chemistry and engineering that addresses key challenges in Human Health and Bioeconomy.
Our goals
Conduct excellent quality and competitive research in Bioengineering and Biosciences.
Address specific challenges and needs of the Human Health and Bioeconomy sectors.
Develop advanced (PhD) educational programs in Bioengineering and Biosciences.
Transfer knowledge through dissemination, patenting, licensing, training and consulting.
