On 17 June, the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) held its inaugural cluster workshop, bringing together more than 30 Horizon Europe-funded projects to exchange insights and explore opportunities for collaboration in the field of bio-based materials for agriculture and packaging.
The event gathered over 60 participants, including representatives from the European Commission, the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC), and other stakeholders from the bioeconomy sector.
POLYMERS-5B was represented at the workshop by Professor Luis P. Fonseca (coordinator), who presented the project’s objectives and recent progress, highlighting its contribution to the development of innovative and sustainable material solutions.
The workshop also featured the POLYMEER project, coordinated by Professor Assunta Marrocchi, reinforcing the importance of cooperation among complementary initiatives within the circular bioeconomy.
