inEvents, iBB News

DIG4BIO is a Twining action, funded by the European Commission, set to advance IST’s research capacity and profile in digital biomanufacturing while bolstering research management and administrative skills of IST/IST-ID staff.

Objectives:
DIG4BIO aims to revolutionize the biomanufacturing landscape through digitalization, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring precise quality control in producing biopharmaceuticals and advanced therapy modalities (ATMPs).

Partners:
Technische Universität Berlin: Bringing expertise in lab automation from the KIWI-biolab, Bioprocess Engineering.
DTU – Technical University of Denmark: Providing insights into digital biotechnology from PROSYS, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering.
Associação do Instituto Superior Técnico para a Investigação e Desenvolvimento (IST-ID): Bringing research/research management capacity.
Instituto Superior Técnico (Coordinator): Bringing research capacity in bioprocesses for ATMPs manufacturing.

Project Duration: 36 months

The project kicked-off in the 1st of July, with all partners meeting in Lisbon.
A special thanks to Rui Munhá, Portuguese National Contact Point (NCP) for providing information on synergies between various EU programmes and Anca-Adriana Cucu, Dig4Bio´s Project Officer for guiding us on the Project Management & Reporting procedures.
