iBB researcher Tina Keller-Costa participated in the DGHM & VAAM Congress 2024 of the Association for General and Applied Microbiology in Würzburg, Germany. Two posters and an oral communication were presented at this congress, highlighting the diversity, function and biotechnological potential of symbiotic bacteria in corals.

Thereafter, Tina visited the GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel, kindly hosted by Prof. Ute Hentschel, and delivered an invited talk titled ” The octocoral microbiome: from ecology to novel chitinases and Blue Biotech opportunities.
