PHARMAPITOX
The PHARMAPITOX project aims to develop an innovative collector and a protocol for the purification of apitoxin for use in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
By the end of the project, the consortium entities, particularly Ecoapis, will be in a position to bring to market the solutions proposed by the PHARMAPITOX R&D project. These include the research and development of innovative methods and protocols for the purification of apitoxin, or bee venom, to obtain purified extracts of its protein fractions, which may be used in both the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
As a result of the project, it is expected that the sales share of these products will represent 50%, 75%, and 80% of the total business volume in the years 2024, 2025, and 2026, respectively, with an average of 80% being directed towards international markets.
