eOnco
Membrane potential of cancer cells possess more depolarised values than healthy cells that heighten proliferation and invasion states. eOnco’s aim is to develop wireless nanobioelectronic systems based on electrically-responsive MNPs. These can be stimulated and polarised remotely using non-invasive methods (NIR and/or US) in order to transmit an electrical cue to cancer cells. MNPs’ activation will increase polarisation of cancer cells membrane to halt cell proliferation that ultimately leads to cancer cell death.
