Short Bio:
Pedro Fonte obtained his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences – Nanotechnologies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto, in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen. He also holds an MBA in Business Management from Lusíada University, Portugal. His research focuses on developing new drug delivery systems using colloidal carriers, characterizing proteins in micro- and nanocarriers, lyophilizing biopharmaceuticals, and targeted drug delivery. Additionally, he works on solid-state characterization and drying of pharmaceuticals, and in regenerative medicine, focusing on wound healing, tissue regeneration, and cell therapy. He is involved in upscaling pharmaceutical products and entrepreneurship activities.
