Short Bio:
Leonor Resina is a Ph.D. student at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST, Portugal) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Spain), working on multiresponsive materials for cancer treatment, developing smart electroconductive nanoparticles and transdermal devices. Leonor received her MSc in Biological Engineering from IST, where she performed the expansion and neural differentiation of human-induced pluripotent stem cells for her Master’s thesis. Additionally, she worked as a research assistant on polymers for removing genotoxic impurities from active pharmaceutical ingredients and design, modeling, and economic analysis of processes for recovery of water and added value products from food industry wastewater streams.
