Short Bio:
Jorge João completed the Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from the Universidade de Lisboa in 2016 and the Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in 2018. Throughout his academic path, Jorge did an internship in the area of Molecular Microbiology and Infection at Instituto de Medicina Molecular João Lobo Antunes and collaborated with the company TechnoPhage, SA during his Master’s thesis and as research assistant in a project together with iBB. Currently, Jorge is finishing the PhD Degree in Biotechnology and Biosciences at IST, developing his research project focused on biomanufacturing of non-viral protein nanocages at iBB.

Biomolecular and bioprocess engineering, with some association with the health sciences. Process development for biologicals from the upstream to the downstream steps including characterization technologies.
