Expertise: NK Cell Expansion, EV Isolation
Short Bio:
Isabel Doutor is a PhD student in Bioengineering - Cell Therapies and Regenerative Medicine since April 2021. She graduated in Biological Engineering from IST in November 2019 and completed her master's thesis at KU Leuven. Currently, Isabel's research is centered on developing a GMP-compliant manufacturing platform for the scalable production of umbilical cord blood (UCB) chimeric antigen receptor-natural killer (CAR-NK) cells and extracellular vesicles (EVs) for immunotherapy.
Research Focus:
Development of a platform for large-scale production of UCB CAR-NK cells and EVs for immunotherapy.
NKBoost: Quality by design-centered platform for the manufacturing of CAR-engineered NK cells and extracellular vesicles for immunotherapy (PTDC/EQU-EQU/3708/2021)
