Expertise: Genomics, Transcriptomics, Biofilms, Fungal Pathogenesis
Short Bio:
Inês Vieira Costa is a PhD student in Biotechnology and Biosciences at Instituto Superior Técnico, under the supervision of Professor Miguel Teixeira. With a Master's degree in Applied Microbiology from Faculdade de Ciências Universidade de Lisboa, she specializes in fungal pathogens, particularly focusing on Candida glabrata. Her research explores the genomic plasticity of C. glabrata and its impact on biofilm formation in clinical settings. Inês is passionate about contributing to the understanding of fungal pathogenesis and seeks innovative approaches to combat infections.
