Expertise: Metabolic and Regulatory Modelling.
Short Bio:
In an age of climate and social change, of increased susceptibility to microbial disease and the need to shift from fossil fuels to biological alternatives In silico modelling of microbial metabolism can be the key to combating and surpassing these challenges. With this in mind, I've built and validated metabolic models for pathogenic Candda spp. and am now working in the development and construction of new modelling methodologies and tools - particularly the automatic inference of regulatory models and integration onto metabolic models - using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a case study under my PhD project scope.
CIÊNCIA VITAE
Research Focus:
Metabolic and Regulatory Modelling; Systems Biology; Yeasts; Pathogenic Yeasts.
