Short Bio:
Ana is a passionate research scientist with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Ciências ULisboa and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Técnico ULisboa. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Biotechnology and Biosciences at Técnico ULisboa in partnership with NZYtech, Lda, focused on the molecular diagnostics field. In particular, Ana's research is centred in the enzymatic activities involved in isothermal nucleic acid amplification and detection of amplification products for Point of Care applications. Additionally, her research encompasses bioinformatic methods for the surveillance of pathogenic genomes currently in circulation, which are available in a variety of databases.
