Expertise: Cell culture, Fluorescence Microscopy, Flow cytomtry, Chemistry
Short Bio:
Adriana Cruz graduated in biochemistry in 2016 from University of Aveiro. In that year she engaged in a master in Bioorganic at University Nova of Lisbon and completed it in 2019. During her academic years she worked in different fields including organic chemistry, radiopharmaceutical development and biological sciences. She worked as a researcher at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology between 2019 and 2021 acquiring experience in cell culture, flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. The projects were developed in the context of ovarian cancer chemoresistance and diagnostic. The work developed resulted in a publication of which Adriana Cruz is the first author. Adriana began her PhD research at BSIRG-iBB in 2021 with an FCT funding, focusing on dendrimers as nanotherapeutic agents for cancer treatment.
