A new project approved under the 2025 ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ – ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ซ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก, is now underway, addressing a critical gap in how FRET data for ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ is curated, shared, and reused.

FRET has emerged as a powerful technique in โdynamic structural biologyโ to probe the conformational ensemble and molecular interactions of ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ (IDPs).
The project brings together complementary expertise to develop a FAIR-compliant community resource for ๐
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐, including a central dataset registry and a MIADE-FRET reporting standard, enabling reproducibility, comparability, and ML-ready datasets in structural biology.

Managed through ELIXIR Portugal (BioData.pt) and coordinated by Ana M. Melo, the project integrates expertise from Eรถtvรถs Lorรกnd University (Gรกbor Erdลs) and the Universitร degli Studi di Padova (Maria Cristina Aspromonte) to shape data standards, validation workflows, and community adoption.
By strengthening FAIR data practices, this initiative will
