Collaborative Laboratories (CoLABs) are private non-profit organizations focused on generating, sharing, and transmitting knowledge through a shared vision and unique research and innovation strategies.
These entities operate within the quadruple helix framework, which synergizes academia, industry, government, and civil society, providing a collaborative platform for multiple stakeholders. This collaboration aims to have a tangible societal impact and promote the creation of qualified jobs in the country. iBB is a proud founding member of two such CoLABs, which expand our commitment to innovation and excellence.
Collaborative Laboratory for Biorefineries
Composed of 10 academic entities and 10 companies (large and SMEs), BIOREF aims to deploy highly qualified knowledge and innovation to the market, identify industrial needs in biorefining technologies and promote the bioeconomy and bioenergy.
Collaborative Laboratory to foster Translation and Drug Discovery
AccelBio complements academic research groups and startups with industry-standard drug discovery capabilities—from target validation to pre-clinical proof of concept—fostering the translation of biomedical research to the market.
