The biannual meeting of the European Society of Animal Cell Technology (ESACT) took place in Edinburgh, Scotland, between the 23rd and the 26th of June.
Professor Ana Fernandes-Platzgummer and PhD Students Ana Lúcia, Isabel Doutor and Hélder Bandarra-Tavares joined the event, having had the chance to connect with other scientists, industry experts and other specialists working with animal cells and thus contributing to promoting dialogue and scientific development.
The multidisciplinary work being done at iBB was displayed in:
+ One Oral presentation entitled: “Cord blood natural killer cells: a promising source of cytotoxic extracellular vesicles for cancer immunotherapy” (Isabel Doutor).
+ Six posters showcasing the work that several iBB researchers are developing.
This was a great opportunity to receive relevant input from international colleagues and to continue the fruitful scientific discussion.
