This project aims to dissect the molecular mechanisms of X-chromosome inactivation (XCI) in human pluripotent stem cells using CRISPR-based and multi-omics approaches. We aim to find novel candidate that regulation XCI in human cells. The ultimate goal is to understand the mechanisms leading to XCI dysregulation associated with ageing, cancer, and female-biased autoimmune diseases. This is an ongoing collaboration with Prof. Ana Rita Grosso (NOVA_FCT, UCIBIO, i4HB)
