Research Activities

I am mainly interested and skilled in pharmaceutical bioprocess development in both areas of fermentation and downstream processing. At the moment, I am one of 15 Early Stage Reseachers (ESRs) in the International Training Network (ITN) CODOBIO – Continuous Downstream Processing of Biologics - funded in the frame of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. I am mainly carrying out my project in Institute Superior Técnico via the collaboration between IBB and INESC. My project aims to develop microfluidic devices for continuous chromatography to intensify process design and development of the downstream processing of biological products.
