João Carlos Silva, Assistant Researcher (FCT Tenure) at the Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences (iBB) and Invited Assistant Professor at the Department of Bioengineering of Instituto Superior Técnico, has been awarded the 2025 Pharmaceutics Young Investigator Award.
The award recognises his contributions to the development of innovative biomaterial platforms for drug delivery, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine applications.
Established in 2018, the Pharmaceutics Young Investigator Award acknowledges the achievements of early-career researchers in the science and technology of pharmaceutics. Nominations are submitted annually between May and December, with the selected awardee announced in March of the following year.
