Rogério Gaspar
Full Professor
Head of Department of Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon

Research Activities
Research interests include the development of new therapeutic strategies using drug delivery systems (nanomedicines) including liposomes, polymeric biodegradable nanoparticles, and polymer therapeutics, with the main focus oriented towards cytosolic delivery of nucleic acids and use of targeted delivery systems for combination therapy or therapeutic vaccines in cancer and infectious diseases.
Further to his scientific background in nanomedicine (since 1986), has also a long standing global expertise in regulatory affairs and regulatory science, including quality managing systems (since 1995).
Previously at University of Coimbra/CNC until 2006, and at iMed.ULisboa from 2007 until April 30th (2017).
