Research Activities

I am interested in the GMP-compliant isolation and expansion of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC). Due to the potential hurdles of using fetal bovine serum as supplement of MSC culture media, the scientific community is looking for alternatives in this regard. Chemically defined xeno-free culture media are now being commercialized but their exact composition is not fully disclosed. Human platelet lysate arises as a potential candidate in solving this issue.
