Research Activities

The area of scientific activity has been leading on Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Sciences with especial attention on Enzyme Engineering (Applied Biocatalysis and Biosensors), Bioprocess Engineering (Bioprocess Integration), and more recently Nanobiotechnology on the development of nanoreactors for biocatalysis, nanoparticles for drug delivery, microfluidic systems for DNA, Protein and Cell Pathogen detection and cell-free protein expression to contribute to the progress of biotechnology.
