Research Activities

My research is focused on the manufacturing of plasmid and minicircles biopharmaceuticals.These vectors are being designed to be more efficiently expressed after administration in vivo. Simultaneously, modifications of the E. coli host strains are being carried out in order to increase the amount of the modified plasmids and minicircles. These projects are applied to the development of DNA vaccine prototypes against Avian Flu and African trypanosomiasis.
